On Saturday January 10, 2015, the Caroline Middle School cheerleading team visited Goochland Middle School for their first annual “Fierce Cheer” competition. The Caroline Eagles gave an outstanding performance, earning them a second place trophy. Goochland Middle School came in first place, Caroline came in second, and third place was awarded to Culpeper Middle School. Locust Grove Middle School and Louisa Middle School were also in attendance. The Caroline Middle School Eagles will next travel to Prince William County to participate in the “Sweetheart Invitational”. This competition will be held on Saturday February 7, 2015 at Gar-Field High School. Please also mark February 21, 2015 on your calendar for Caroline’s own “Cheer Fest”, hosted by CMS at Caroline High School.
On Thursday May 29th from 5:30-7:30 PM in the CMS gym, tryouts will be open to our rising 6th graders. These tryouts will only be optional for students who can tumble. Tumbling includes back handsprings, round off back handsprings, tucks, or any skill more difficult than that. Cartwheels, round offs, etc. are not considered tumbling.
Applications should be turned in to your elementary school counselor by May 27th. Students also need a copy of their most recent interim report and a sports physical (which can be found on the “forms” page of this website).

Applications are now available for the 2014-2015 CMS Cheer Team. Applications are available on this site, on the forms page, as well as from your school counselor. Tryouts will be held between May 27th and 29th from 3-5PM each day. Tuesday and Wednesday, the girls will learn material and on Thursday, they will actually tryout. Competition Cheer Tryouts will be held on Monday October 21st and Wednesday October 23rd after school. Tryouts are open to 6th, 7th, and 8th Graders. Please see your grade level counselor for an application. Applications should be turned in to Ms. Clark or the main office. You must be able to tumble to tryout. You also must have a VHSL physical.

Tryouts will be held from May 20-May 23 at CAROLINE MIDDLE SCHOOL each day.
The time of tryouts has been changed to 2:30-5:00, immediately after school.

Caroline Middle School’s Cheerleading Team will sponsor our Valentine’s Day Dance. The dance will take place Friday February 15, from 6pm-8pm.
Tickets are $5. We will have concessions, amazing raffles, and an opportunity to purchase pictures. Ticket sales will begin February 6th and end on February 14th.

Boys basketball season is here and competition is quickly approaching. I wanted to provide you all with reminders about the season and about competition.
- For all away games, girls scheduled to cheer are to dress up for school. For all home games, all girls are scheduled to cheer and they are to wear warm-ups, and their t-shirts. Please also remember to bring poms and bows to ALL GAMES.
- This season, at home games we will be raffling off prizes to earn money for our team. If you have any donations or suggestions for prizes, please let us know.
- As of now, competition will be on Saturday March 16, 2012. Please let me know if you have a conflict with this date.
- Eight grade girls who are interested in trying out for high school cheerleading are welcome to practice in practices with the high school team at Top Notch in Ashland. Classes are Thursday evenings from 8-9 and cost $5.
