December Updates

Boys basketball season is here and competition is quickly approaching. I wanted to provide you all with reminders about the season and about competition.

  • For all away games, girls scheduled to cheer are to dress up for school. For all home games, all girls are scheduled to cheer and they are to wear warm-ups, and their t-shirts. Please also remember to bring poms and bows to ALL GAMES.
  • This season, at home games we will be raffling off prizes to earn money for our team. If you have any donations or suggestions for prizes, please let us know.
  • As of now, competition will be on Saturday March 16, 2012. Please let me know if you have a conflict with this date.
  • Eight grade girls who are interested in trying out for high school cheerleading are welcome to practice in practices with the high school team at Top Notch in Ashland. Classes are Thursday evenings from 8-9 and cost $5.

As always, thank you so very much for your continued support and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

November Update

Thank you for your continued support of Caroline Middle School’s cheerleading program! Please check out the November Cheer Calendar when you get a chance.  Please note that some of the dates are subject to change depending on the schedule for boys’ basketball.

We plan to begin our practices for competition this upcoming week; therefore it is imperative that all girls attend each practice. Please let me know in advance if your daughter will miss a practice or event  We appreciate this, as it helps us in planning for practices.

You have all received a form that your daughter can use to list community service  opportunities in which she was involved. This form is also available on our website on the forms page. Each hour of community service translates to a merit for your daughter. Merits are rewarded for any honorable service/action completed by your daughter. The cheerleader with the most merits at the end of the season will receive a $25 gift certificate to the establishment of their choice.

Lastly, please be sure to return photo release forms as soon as possible.

As always, please let Ms. Brandy or me know if you have any questions or concerns.

CHS Cheer Competition

On Thursday we will be attending The Battlefield District’s Cheerleading Competition at Chancellor High School in Spotsylvania County.

We are planning to meet at the middle school at 4:00 PM and depart soon after. The girls have the options of either staying after school that day, or you can bring them back to the school at 4.  We will be carpooling to the competition. Four parents have volunteered to drive, so we have more than enough space for all the girls to come.

Once we leave the middle school, we will head to Applebees in Massaponax to eat and celebrate our August/September/October birthdays. I told the girls to bring about $15 to pay for their food. Once we finish eating, we will head to Chancellor for the competition, which begins at 7PM. I told the girls to bring about $10 to pay for the competition.

We have encouraged the girls to wear Red, White, and Blue to show our support for the high school team! Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
